No School = No Lunch
Price Chopper cares deeply about supporting our KC area communities, which is exactly why we decided to partner with Harvesters for No School = No Lunch. During the summer, kids that rely on school lunches go hungry. 20% of children, or more than 128,000 kids in the KC area are food insecure. We set out to fix that, raising over $30,000 for children with food insecurity. Shoppers can always donate to Harvesters using our donation bins in-store and are encouraged to show out for our upcoming “Check Out Hunger” drive starting in November.

VIP Day at the K
Every year, Price Chopper gives two youth teams the chance to attend a Royals game. Teams entered to win through the form on Price Chopper’s VIP Day website. This year, Leawood’s 9U Tropical Thunder and the KC Northland’s 10U Lady Sluggers received special outfield experience wristbands and got to watch the post-game fireworks on the field! We’re very proud to support our local youth sports teams and look forward to continuing the tradition.

47th Anniversary
A 47th wedding anniversary is often called the “Peace” anniversary, representing the stability and comfort of a long-term partnership. This year, Price Chopper was very proud to celebrate the 47th Anniversary of our relationship with the Kansas City community. Instead of exchanging gifts, we decided it would be better to continue passing on savings to our customers well into our fourth decade! We’re so incredibly thankful to have given KC 47 years of incredible savings and look forward to doing even better in the next 47!

Fireworks Friday
Every year, we love having the opportunity to partner with the Royals for Fireworks Friday! Every time the Royals have a home game on a Friday night, Price Chopper teams up with Oreo to provide the postgame fireworks. For each of this year’s 12 Friday games, four lucky customers won game tickets and were able to watch the fireworks from the field. We love helping to create an awesome atmosphere at Royals games, but our love pales in comparison to the number of smiles and oohs and ahh of all the fans laying on the outfield grass at The K.
